We started June out by going to a friend's wedding. While at the reception, I took this picture. It's now one of my favorites.
San Antonio
We traveled to San Antonio for a couple days. Steve had to work, so the boys and I tagged along and played in the pool. Daddy got to join us in the evenings.
We also met up with Uncle Dick and Aunt Harriett. We had a nice dinner and then played some miniature golf. It was a lot of fun and so good to see them again.
From San Antonio, we made a short stop in Austin for Steve to do some work. While there, we saw this awesome sign. A great name in a great city!
Dallas
Steve also had to travel to Dallas for work. The boys and I were able to do some really fun things while he worked. We went to the Dallas Zoo with some good friends, the Larsons.
Ryan is so silly!!
The Dallas Zoo has the best giraffe exhibit I've ever seen. You can buy lettuce and feed it to them. Our kids love it and it's so cool to get that close to the giraffes.
Payton, Ryan and Brock
The cafe is right next to the lion exhibit. The lions love to sleep in the shade of the cafe...and we love to be able to get that close to them and still be safely behind glass!
We saw a bird show that was pretty cute. At the end, they have a crow that will take your money and put it in the donation case.
This is a fun climbing rope that Ryan just had to act like a spider on!
The kids got to ride a pony, too!
One night, we treated the kids to Medieval Times. They bought armor and a sword and had a great time playing before the show began.
Brock is knighting Ryan.
King Steve with his queen and knights.
This is the Yellow Knight that we cheered on.
We had a great time and the boys absolutely loved it! Ryan is asking to go back for his birthday!
This is one of the horsemen. He was a great trainer and really did some amazing tricks with his horse. Ryan got every knight's autograph and most of their pictures!
The last thing we did was go to NRH2O waterpark. We had a blast and then sat together to watch some fireworks.
