Fishing
The boys really wanted to go fishing one weekend, so Steve bought some worms and we all went to the "Goose and Quack-Quack" park, as the boys call it (Central Park). We got a lot of bites, but no fish. The boys had a great time anyway and really enjoyed getting out in nature and spending time with Daddy.

Ryan showing me his worm.Brock and Ryan took a break from fishing to feed the ducks. And I got a picture with my sweet Ryan.
Car Washing
Believe it or not, we have never washed our car at home. We usually get a free car wash when we get our oil changed. But our car was so dirty, so I thought I'd teach the boys how to wash the car...the old fashioned way. They didn't quite get the concept...they just walked down the car with the sponge in a straight line, but they had a lot of fun getting wet and playing with the water hose.

I love the way Ryan is looking at Brock!!
Brock's Last Day of School
I read in a magazine last summer about a lady who took a picture of her kids on the first day of school and on the last day of school wearing the same clothes, so she could see how they had grown and changed. I thought that was a neat idea. So, here's Brock on his first day of Kindergarten (Aug. 24, 2009)....
...and his last day of Kindergarten (May 28, 2010).First day......last day.Ryan on Brock's last day of Kinder. He had to get his picture taken, too!
Brock's class had a Lunch Luau on the last day of school. It was really cute and the kids enjoyed it.
Tiki Brock. One of the moms made this lampshade for their teacher with all of the kid's hand prints on it. It was so cute and such a great idea!Brock and his awesome teacher, Mrs. Brinkerhoff.
Lowe's Handymen
We went to Lowe's one Saturday morning...a little too late for the kid's workshop. So, they gave us all the stuff needed (including the aprons and goggles!) to make a race car. Ryan and Brock couldn't hardly wait to get home to build it.

Playing in the Rain
We finally got a really good rain, so we let the boys go play in it. They had a great time jumping in puddles and floating sticks in the curb....

...and sitting in the puddles!

Ryan ~ Hot Shots Soccer

Ryan played Hot Shots Soccer again this year. I wasn't sure if he'd really be that into it or if he would just want to play on the nearby playground the whole time. He actually did really well and is a fairly good little soccer player. Here he is with his trophy and showing some soccer skills!

The video shows Ryan practicing. He is in the brown shorts and helicopter shirt. Too bad he missed the goal! He did really well stealing the ball and taking all the way to the goal, though!

Brock ~ Tiger T-Ball

Brock played t-ball again this year. He didn't enjoy it as much as last year. He is more of a social player. He likes to play, but he likes hanging out with his friends more. He didn't really have any close, good friends on the team this year and really didn't enjoy himself. Maybe if he wants to play next year, we can get him on a team with some of his friends. Here are a few pictures of Brock working hard on the field.

Here are just a few examples of what he did during the games when he was bored. He cracks me up.

Steve was an assistant coach again this year. Here's Daddy and Brock with his trophy. What did Ryan do during the games? He tried on helmets... ...a few different ways......and sat in buckets! I have some funny kids!

Disney World ~ April/May 2010

The first night we arrived we went to Epcot to eat some good ol' German food. On the way to Germany, we stopped in Africa and Brock started rockin' out on the drums!
Carribbean Beach Resort

We stayed at the Carribbean Beach Resort. It was really nice and we enjoyed listening to steel drums and Jimmy Buffet while we were there. This is a picture of our room from the main swimming pool.
We stayed in the Aruba part of the resort with it's own beach. The boys loved it! We also had some fun in the pool. The main pool there is awesome! Uncle Walter joined us for about a day and a half and played with the boys in the pool.

Uncle Walter, Brock, Steve, Ryan.Doing belly-flops (which they think are great!) and cannonballs.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue

We went to a musical dinner show that we love. It was a lot of fun and we highly recommend it...the boys even enjoyed it!

The boys sitting on a barrell waiting for the show to start.

Brock pretending to ride a bull.
Uncle Walter

We were so happy that Uncle Walter was able to join us. The boys loved having him there!

Star Wars Jedi Training Academy

This was all the boys talked about for months leading up to going to Disney World...how they were going to train to be "real Jedis." Listening to the Jedi Master... Brock in his Padawan robe...
Brock vs. Darth Vader

Ryan in his Padawan robe...Ryan vs. Darth Vader

On a land speeder....

Brock as Boba Fett.
Vikings

We did a really neat mission for Kim Possible that led us to Norway. While in one of the stores there, the guys dressed up like vikings.

Pirate Adventure Cruise

The boys went on a Pirate Adventure Cruise that was really cool. They got on a boat at the Grand Floridian and sailed around the Seven Seas Lagoon for 2 hours stopping at different places looking for pirate treasure. At the last stop, they found it and got some of the booty! Here they are showing it off!

Downtown Disney

We went to Downtown Disney one night. Here we are having fun with Christmas in May.
The boys both earned money doing chores before we left and they got to spend it how they chose (for the most part!). One of Brock's purchases was a Lego Tie Fighter. One of Ryan's purchases was a velociraptor dinosaur at the Build-A-Dino Workshop...he named him Chomper Slice.Dinoland Dig Pit

One of the boys favorite spots is the Dinoland Dig Pit in Animal Kingdom.
Ryan playing with the gravel. Brock using his head to dig. :-)
Indiana Jones

Along with Star Wars, Indiana Jones was one of the other highlights. Brock and Ryan both love it and all the action. After the stunt show, they got a picture with Indiana Jones and Mary.

One of Ryan's other purchases was an Indiana Jones play set, complete with hat, whip, gun, machetti, holster and jewels.Indiana Ryan

Characters

We got to meet a lot of Disney Characters, such as Leo (from the Little Einsteins)...
Goofy (with little Goofies)... Chip -n- Dale... Goofy... and Daisy Duck.
Prince Ryan and Prince Brock
Me and my two princes in front of Cinderella's Castle.
