Ryan's Kinder Rodeo ~ March 9

The Kindergarten class at Ryan's school had Rodeo Day.  They all dressed up like cowboys and played different games.  It was a lot of fun and Ryan LOVED dressing up in cowboy hat and boots.

Brock's 2nd Grade Musical ~ Let's Get Buggy ~ March 8

The second grade at Brock's school had a musical called "Let's Get Buggy."  It was such a cute program...all about bugs...and they sang so good!!

Brock was in the Buggy Band...and really got into his part!

Ryan's Celtics Basketball

Ryan played with the Celtics this year.  He has really improved and understands the game a lot more since last year.  He did a great job and had fun!

This isn't the best quality picture, but I love how it shows Ryan "punching" the air as he runs.  This is how he ran down the court 80% of the time!

Paying close attention to what his coach says.

Brock's Bucks Basketball

Brock played on the Buck's team this year.  He has learned so much in the last few years and does pretty good!  He likes it, too, though not as much as football.

Check out those blocking out skills!!

Feb. 2012

Besides Ryan and Brock playing basketball, February was a pretty tame month...so I don't have a lot of pictures.  Ryan had a birthday party to go to on Super Bowl Sunday where he got his face painted with a cobra.

When Brock saw Ryan's cobra, he wanted his face painted, too.  Since it was Super Bowl Sunday, he wanted a football and the NY Giants.

For Valentine's Day this year, I thought we might try making our own.  This is Ryan's Pinterest-inspired Valentine.  (The light saber is a glow stick.)

And this is a Brock-inspired Valentine!  He has really gotten into origami and wanted to make his own Valentines.  He did a great job and made each of his classmates an original origami heart.

My brother and sis-in-law gave the boys these Star Wars pancake molds a while back, but I kept forgetting to take pictures when I used them.  Brock and Ryan love them!  Thanks, Greg and Diane!

Jan. 2012

We were finally able to have another campfire!  Since the drought was so bad here last year, we haven't had since last Jan.  The boys loved it...and the S'mores!

Brock and Ryan got these blue shower wraps for Christmas from their gramma.  They just look so cute!

Steve had to go to San Antonio for work before school started, so the boys and I tagged along.  While he was working, we went to the Riverwalk and the River Mall.  We also saw the IMAX movie of the Alamo.  Afterward, we went to the gift shop and saw this Davy Crockett coonskin cap and cannon.  Ryan is about the cutest Davy Crockett I've ever seen!!

I LOVE, LOVE this picture!!!

We took this picture for my Aunt Vi, who loves John Wayne.

On the Riverwalk...

...the Alamo...

...and with Daddy.

Brock won the Golden Gator award.  It's an award voted on by his classmates for being a good friend and a good student.  This is what he teacher said about him:

Brock and the Creek View Gator after the awards.  We are so proud of you, Brock!!

Brock and his proud parents!

Brock got on the Honor Roll and got Perfect Attendence for the 3rd Six Weeks in a row!  Good job, Brock!

Some friends and their son came over for dinner one night.  Their son brought Ryan and Brock some catapults that he made.  So, the boys got out their Army men and started having a war with their catapults.

The Harlem Globetrotters came to town!  We saw them several years ago, but Brock was too young to enjoy it.  This year, he loved it!  Ryan enjoyed it, too, but was maybe still a little young to keep up with everything going on.  Steve and I thought it was neat because two of the Globetrotters were on our favorite TV show, The Amazing Race, a couple seasons ago.  Big Easy was one of the two.

This guy climbed on top of the basketball goal!

The last play of the game.

Watching the game together.

Pictures with a couple of the Globetrotters afterward.
