Steve and Brock joined a YMCA camping club this past school year. You have to be in Kindergarten to go, so poor Ryan didn't get to go. He stayed here with me and I tried to make a fun weekend for him. Here are some pictures Steve took on some of their trips.

In February, they went to Camp Cullen where they got to experience a lot of very cool things, all of which Brock had never done before. It was by far his favorite camping trip of the year. He got to go horseback riding...

...canoeing...

...he got to go to a firing range and shoot at a target...

...and ride a zip line! (This one isn't Brock...I just wanted to show how high he was.)

The last camping trip of the year was in April at Brazos Bend, south of Houston. Since it was the last one, it was a family campout and Ryan and I got to come, too! It was a little chilly in the morning....

They had a snake program where park rangers told the kids about different kinds of snakes, then they got to pet one...ugghhh.

They also got to pet a baby alligator.

Brazos Bend has over 300 adult alligators. We walked partially around this little lake/swamp and saw several alligators sunning.

Bike riding is one of the main activities.

...and swinging!
